Bought or brought?
This is a tricky one and I often see native speakers get this wrong.
Let's consider this example:

"I bought a coat" - this means you went to the shops and paid money for a coat.
"I brought this coat (from home)" - this means you already had the coat and you have taken it with you to where you are going.
A quick tip to help you remember:
bought - to buy. There is no "r" in buy.
brought - to bring. There is an "r" in bring.
